Fabric Care
EXTEX fabrics are light fast, stain resistant, water repellent, pre-shrunk and machine washable - a combination that makes them relatively easy-care. To keep these luxury fabrics looking fabulous however, a little looking after is required:
Dealing with all soil or stains promptly will ensure their removal and avoid the likelihood of mildew growth and the need for intensive cleaning.
Dry soil can simply be brushed off the fabrics.
Liquid spills or a light shower will just bead up on the surface and roll off. With prompt action, all that is needed is a clean, dry cloth to absorb any residue.
If a spillage has not been dealt with promptly, spot cleaning is possible, by lightly sponging the stain with a mild detergent mixed with cool water. Rinse the area thoroughly with clean water.
Stubborn stains should be dealt with using a proprietary upholstery shampoo and by following the manufacturer’s directions - DO NOT USE BLEACH. Always test the product on an inconspicuous part of the fabric first.
For an overall spruce-up, EXTEX is machine-washable in cool water, maximum 40°C, using a natural or mild detergent.
EXTEX can be air-dried or tumble-dried on a low temperature setting, max. 40°C. Over time and repeated washing, the effectiveness of the stain-resistance will gradually reduce. This treatment can be reapplied as necessary.
